Jon Ramos, Program Coordinator,
Ohio Coordinating Center for ACT
Jon Ramos works with the Ohio Coordinating Center for ACT to further the development of Assertive Community Treatment within our mental health system. His role includes policy development of the ACT rule, training and education for mental health providers and stakeholders, and technical assistance and quality improvement for new and existing ACT teams.
Jon has been in the field of mental health for 14 years, all of which has been in direct service. He has worked in an inpatient and outpatient setting providing individuals with many different mental health services, from benefits education to outdoor reality therapy. Much of his time in this field has been as a case manager working with people who have a severe and persistent mental illness.
For the last 5 years Jon served on the first ACT team in Hamilton county. It was this experience that exposed him to the ACT model of direct service. He knows first hand the benefits of ACT for mental health consumers as well as providers.
Jon holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio.
