InterAct Giving Collaboratives

Subject-Based Giving Collaboratives

InterAct for Change provides professional support for Giving Collaboratives organized around a specific subject matter or to fund a specific project.  We work with partners who wish to focus on a larger opportunity than an individual, foundation, or corporate giving program can accomplish on its own.  Subject-Based Giving Collaboratives may include key business, civic, and government officials.  The collaborative may act as a charitable resource to seed new ideas or help the community address specific needs.

Benefits of Subject-Based Giving Collaboratives

Sometimes a particular community issue demands a visible and collective response to raise awareness, create a tipping point, or demonstrate the efficacy of a specific approach. And sometimes, extraordinary resources - more than any one person or organization can give - are required to accomplish a significant community response. By pooling resources, the impact of charitable donations is leveraged in an efficient and holistic way. Another benefit of a Giving Collaborative is the opportunity to experiment with a more entrepreneurial approach to a community issue. Risk-taking is an important component of philanthropy for some individuals, foundations, and organizations. At InterAct for Change, we work with investors to research, design, and implement Giving Collaboratives of all types.
