InterAct for Change is applying to become the regional affiliate of Seattle-based Social Venture Partners International SVPI is an international network of more than 1,600 partners in 23 cities that has contributed over $20 million and tens of thousands of volunteer consulting hours and business coaching to nonprofit organizations.
Social Venture Partners are diverse and talented individuals who combine the power of business and the passion of philanthropy to bring their collective expertise and resources to promising nonprofits, collaborating with them to impact communities.
SVPI offers a model of venture philanthropy with four attributes:
- Engaged Venture Philanthropy—opportunities to make financial and hands-on contributions to the community that achieve measurable results
- Pooled Resources—join with others and leverage a greater positive impact on the community
- Venture Philanthropy Education—new and experienced philanthropists will learn how to be more effective in giving your time, talent and money
- Capacity Building for Nonprofits—provide funding and expertise to expand the capacity of nonprofit organizations and help propel them to new levels of service
